Privacy policy
How I collect, use and protect your personal information, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Last updated: 4 November 2026
Who is responsible
Evan Kyle Titus, trading as EKT Digital, is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website and while providing my services. I am also the information officer. Contact me at evan@ektdigital.co.za or 064 838 1365.
What I collect
- When you contact me: your name, business name, email address, phone number and anything you include in your message.
- When you become a client: your business details, the text, photos and logos you send for your website, and billing details for invoices and receipts.
- Payments: Paystack processes your card or EFT payment. I receive confirmation of the payment, not your card details.
- Visiting this website: I do not use analytics, advertising trackers or cookies. My hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver and secure the site. This website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so Google also receives your IP address.
Why I use it
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote or free preview.
- To build, host and maintain your website, and to communicate with you about it.
- To issue invoices and keep financial records, as the law requires.
- To send you occasional news about my services, only if you have agreed to it. You can opt out at any time.
I process your information because you asked for a quote or entered into an agreement with me, because the law requires it (for example tax records), or with your consent. I do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Who I share it with
Only the service providers I need to run my business: Cloudflare (website hosting and email forwarding), Google (email and Google Business Profile), Paystack (payments) and the domain registrar that registers your domain. Some of these providers store information on servers outside South Africa. They are bound by data protection laws and their own agreements that give your information a level of protection similar to POPIA.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that don’t lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for as long as I provide your service, and financial records for 5 years as required by tax law. After that, information is deleted.
How I protect it
Accounts are protected with strong passwords and two-step verification where available, and access is limited to me. If a security breach affects your personal information, I will tell you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.
Your rights
You may ask what personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, object to how I use it, or withdraw your consent to marketing. Email evan@ektdigital.co.za and I will respond within 30 days.
If you are not happy with how I handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
Changes
I may update this policy. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
